Europe's digital freight forwarder.

Arnau Baldó and his father, Toni Baldó, at the Envío x Envío office

The problem

Booking international road freight in 2017 worked the same way it did in 1997: you call, you wait, three emails arrive with three different rates, you pick one blind and then you chase the truck. For a mid-sized exporter, every shipment was an afternoon's work.

The bet

That a transport company could behave like a software company without ever stopping the trucks. Digitize quoting, booking and tracking, and keep the operation — carriers, agents, incidents — in the hands of a team that knows the industry.

What we built

  • A platform where an exporter or importer quotes road groupage to any point in Europe and gets a binding rate in seconds.
  • A network of 700+ carriers and 60+ agents across Europe, orchestrated by our own software.
  • An AI optimizer for rates and booking (2022) and, since 2025, dozens of AI agents running critical areas of the company.
  • A team that grew from 3 to 15+ people across two offices: Torre Mapfre in Barcelona, and Irún.

What I learned

  • Digitizing an industry isn't giving it a website. It's rewriting how every operational decision gets made.
  • Growth came when we stopped selling technology and started selling that the truck shows up.
  • A co-founder with forty years in the industry is worth more than any funding round.
